International students are eligible to apply for a post-study work visa (also known as 485 subclass visa) after completing their studies. There are two types of post-study work visa available: the Post-study Work Stream and the Graduate Work Stream
The Post-study Work Stream is for international students who have graduated with a bachelor’s degree or higher. This visa allows students to stay in Australia for up to two to four years, depending on the level of their qualification.
The Graduate Work Stream is for international students who have graduated with skills and qualifications that align with an occupation on the Australian Skilled Occupation List (SOL). This visa allows students to stay in Australia for up to 18 months to gain work experience in their field of study.
